Liverpool are back in Premier League action today, welcoming Leicester City and former manager Brendan Rodgers to Anfield for a rare mid-week league match under the lights as the Reds look to keep pace with table toppers Manchester City and Leicester look to steady themselves and push into the top half of the table after a difficult run.

Last weekend’s FA Cup ties saw the Reds easily push past Cardiff City to advance to the fifth round of the competition while Leicester found themselves on the wrong side of a lopsided defeat to Championship side Nottingham Forest that has resulted in rising concerns about the club’s situation and questions about the future of manager Rodgers.

For Liverpool, Mohamed Salah is back and expected to play—though he might start on the bench—after returning from the Africa Cup of Nations, while Harvey Elliott should also see the pitch at some point as he continues to work his way back from injury. Sadio Mané has yet to return from AFCoN duty while Jordan Henderson is expected to miss the game with a sore back.
