The Egyptian forward and his agent have thrown cold water on a Sky Sports opinion piece stating it might be time for the Reds to move on

Sometimes during this global pandemic, it has been difficult to find things to write about with the suspension of sports. It has, however, given time for writers and journalists to explore more creative outlets. On this blog, we’ve taken taken the opportunity to explore the best home kit, away/third kit, and worst kit from each kit supplier. On Sky Sports, Adam Bate wrote a piece on the next evolution of Liverpool, primarily based around whether it was time for the team to move on from Mohamed Salah if Timo Werner is brought in.

Bate’s piece focused most of his argument around players tendency to see a decrease in successful dribbles from the age 28 onward. Mohamed Salah, who is turning 28, has already seen a decrease in his dribbles since his first season with Liverpool, though that has primarily been a function of Liverpool playing further up the field rather than playing on the counterattack where Salah is playing with space to run into. Regardless of the content of the article, Sky Sports decided run an instagram post for the article with a picture of Salah and a tagline of “keep or sell?”.

This is the part where we throw back our heads and laugh. That’s exactly what Mohamed Salah did, responding to the post with three laughing emojis. Salah’s agent, Ramy Abbas Issa, took to twitter to highlight some additional statistics about his client, as seen below.

There has been nothing from Liverpool to signal they are looking to move on from any of their front three in the near future, and for his part, Salah seems perfectly happy playing for the Reds.
