Turns out Mohamed Salah is pretty good.
Remember when Mohamed Salah couldn’t get a game with Chelsea and was deemed a Premier League failure before moving onto Serie A? Good times.
Nowadays, Salah is helping to lead the most dangerous front line in world football. On Saturday, he achieved a rare feat, scoring at least 20 goals in his first three seasons with Liverpool. His debut season broke Premier League records, and while the next two didn’t quite live up to that high standard, he still terrifies his opponents.
Against Bournemouth on Saturday morning, Salah scored his 20th goal with his weaker right foot to meet that milestone for the third consecutive time with the Reds and with plenty of games still left to play.
“He is an outstanding striker, a world-class striker. It’s really nice, I’m really happy for him that he reached that mark and I think Sadio has the chance to do similar stuff. That would be really cool,” manager Jürgen Klopp said when asked about Salah’s achievement after the game.
“We need the boys because with all the good stuff you can do on the pitch, in the end you need somebody to finish it off and very often, thank God, it was Mo.”
The boss isn’t the only person thanking their deity of choice for the Egyptian winger. Liverpool fans the world over have fallen in love with the talented, charismatic player and look forward to watching him help guide the Reds to lifting plenty more trophies in the future.
