Academy product gets a permanent move for more game time

Liverpool’s transfer window this summer is expected to be busy given that there’s a lot of fringe players who the Reds will be looking to cash in on. One of those players is Polish goalkeeper Kamil Grabara, who is moving to Danish club FC Copenhagen according to the official club site.

The site doesn’t discuss a transfer fee, but Goal’s Neil Jones has reported that the fee is around £3m, plus a 20 per cent sell-on clause.

Grabara joined Liverpool’s academy in 2016 and represented the U18, U19 and U23 sides during his first two seasons on Merseyside. He made his first team debut for Liverpool during the 2018 summer preseason match against fellow Merseyside club Tranmere Rovers. He only made the bench for one competitive match for Liverpool, on 26 September 2018 for the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea in the EFL Cup. Later that season he’d join Danish club AGF Aarhus on loan. He spent the 2019-20 season on loan at Championship side Huddersfield Town before returning to AGF on loan for the 2020-21 season.
