Our captain again showed his commitment towards making football a game for everyone.

An English fan, Joseph White, who identifies as non-binary and is co-chair of Three Lions Pride and Pride in Football, wrote about their experience attending their first ever game at Wembley. He was in full make-up to watch the Three Lions take on Germany in the round of 16 at the Euros.

Joseph spoke of his fears of doing so, being “absolutely petrified” before the game, but was ultimately proud of his fellow fans after having no issues doing so.

Henderson replied to the message and also reinforced his belief that the game is and should be for everyone. Over the past year, Jordan Henderson has set a very high bar for Liverpool FC captains and players in general off the pitch. From his efforts organising the league’s support for the Black Lives Matter movement, his recent collaboration with the Cyber Smile Foundation to combat cyberbullying, and now this, Jordan has been nothing but consistent in trying to use his platform to do good. Bravo, Captain!
