Reports are fluttering about that the midfielder is on his way out
Harry Wilson is technically still a Liverpool player. It’s a bit mad to think about, really. But there’s several reports that the player could finally be exiting the club after spending the last three and a half seasons on loan with various clubs.
This morning the Daily Mirror reported that Liverpool are willing to accept a £10million offer for the midfielder/attacker, but didn’t mention if there’s even a club out there willing to make that sort of bid. The Reds have a master of transfers in Michael Edwards and he could probably convince someone to bid £40million on a shirt someone already owns.
I would be surprised if Edwards and Liverpool would allow this type of info to release if they weren’t in negotiations with some club over Wilson’s services. They’re very good at working the press for their transfer agenda.
The really interesting bit in the Mirror’s reporting is that Liverpool are wanting to offload fringe players specifically so they can bring in a midfielder and an attacker. The transfer rumour mill has been spinning nonstop with links to all different types of midfielders, but has been relatively quiet on the attacker front.
